Graphite electrodes are used mainly in electric arc furnace steel production. They are presently the only products available that have both high levels of electrical conductivity and the capability of sustaining the extreme heat generated in this demanding environment. Graphite electrodes are also used to refine steel in ladle furnaces and in other smelting processes. The basic characteristics required of graphite electrodes for use in arc furnaces are good electrical conductivity, high resistance to thermal shock and low oxidation at elevated temperatures. The production facilities are based in China and use modern technology and equipments, with lengthwise graphitization furnaces.
SiderElectrodes Graphite Electrodes are continuously improved, and produced only using top quality needle coke. After production they are subjected to rigorous testing and control procedures, in order to guarantee a high and consistent quality to our customers. In addition SiderElectrodes guarantees, through a dedicated technical staff, coming from years of experience in the Italian and European steel industry, a quick and effective pre and post sales service.
